As I continue my tour, spotlighting the high school stars of tomorrow, I decided to rack up my recruiting coverage miles (3,309-miles to be exact) and introduce the nation -- to one of the better looking and athletically gifted prospects a part of the Class of 2021 named Julien Simon, an all-around ATHLETE (RB, WR, LB, DB) who hails from Tacoma, Washington is physically intimidating listed at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds.
The 14-year-old middle school standout for First Creek Middle School, is rated as the No.1 running back in the Northwest Region (#3 nationally) and the Top 20 overall athlete in the nation (4-star) per Generation Nexxt.
The state of Washington's most heralded eighth-grader, who sports a 4.0 weighted GPA, helped Seattle All-Stars, which represented the state finest, to back-to-back National Championship appearances in 2015 & 2016 (National Champions). Simon is also a two-time All-American selection that scored over 40 all-purpose touchdowns and was unblockable on the defensive side of the ball, sacking opposing quarterbacks over twenty times and roughly ten interceptions as well as jaw dropping hits, playing mainly middle linebacker.
Simon is a multi-sport superstar. Not only is he ranked nationally in football, but he thrives on basketball as well. As AAU Team Blackout small and power forward, his player grade is a 94 overall, which results in a 4-star prospect according to Jr. Future150. In addition, Simon, has earned several basketball tournament MVP's, such as Seattle Stars Classic Basketball Tournament MVP and The Show at the Hall just to name a few.
Simon family bloodline who plays (or played) at the next level consist of his brother Dionte Simon (Utah State) and cousins Jamaal Cherry (California) Berkeley and Walter Stanley (San Diego Chargers).
The 14-year-old "literally" looks like a highly sought after senior, that's ready to sign on National Signing Day. It's becoming a norm, as college football programs are verbally offering elite 8th graders around the country without a single clip of varsity film. I'm shocked, a college football coach, hasn't verbally offered this promising eighth-grader with size, athleticism, academics, character and someone who's humble and most importantly, comes from a football background.
The West Coast product, has an early favorite, Nick Saban listen up, the 6-foot-2, 200-pounder with 4.6 speed, favorite college football team is the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also informed me his favorite NFL team and player is Seattle Seahawks and running back Marshawn Lynch. Simon's goals come high school -- is to start varsity day one and carry a 3.5 or higher weighted GPA. Simon will take his talents to Lincoln High School this upcoming fall and join his brother, Jayden Simon, a soon-to-be junior, who starts at offensive line and defensive line.
Simon plans to major in business administration come college. He also proudly mention, his college prep teacher Heather Halvorson encourages him the most inside of the classroom. Remember this name folks, he's the next high school superstar.
